Clear answers about how Minyma works today.

The best privacy products say what they do well and what they do not claim. Minyma's answers stay grounded in the current product.

Privacy and encryption

Is Minyma end-to-end encrypted?

Minyma is designed so message and attachment content are encrypted on sender devices and decrypted on recipient devices.

Does Minyma hide all metadata?

No. Minyma protects message content end to end and continues reducing relay-visible metadata, but the service still sees some operational metadata to run delivery today.

Can Minymata read my messages?

Minyma is designed so the relay does not have the private keys required to read message or attachment plaintext.

Calls, devices, and control

Does Minyma support audio calling?

Yes. Minyma supports direct 1:1 audio calling on iPhone and iPad devices, with continued network hardening still underway.

Does Minyma support multiple devices?

Yes. Linked-device workflows are part of Minyma's current account model.

What does the duress PIN do?

The duress PIN can wipe Minyma locally on the current device and, when enabled, first tries to delete the relay account before the local wipe.

Deletion and recovery

What happens when I delete my account?

Delete Account is intended to remove relay-held devices, queued delivery data, profile information, push tokens, and uploaded ciphertext attachments. It does not erase content already downloaded to other users' devices.

What does Reset Local Identity do?

It wipes Minyma on the current device and returns it to onboarding without automatically deleting the relay account. If that same Minyma ID still exists on the relay, using it again may require a link token from another signed-in device. If you no longer have another signed-in device, you will need to create a new account with a new Minyma ID.

Is Minyma formally audited?

Independent review is part of the active security work, and Minymata plans to publish that status when it is complete.
