Voice

Minyma Voice as a secure in-app operator

Minyma Voice can help compose messages, open chats, start New Message or New Group flows, search, pin or mute threads, answer WeatherKit weather and forecast questions, speak assistant replies in the language selected in Settings, open local pickers, and navigate settings while keeping sensitive actions staged for review.

  • The user starts voice from the in-app voice button, so no wake phrase is required for the normal app flow
  • Voice Language defaults to English and can be changed in Settings > Voice
  • The voice language picker covers a broad launch set, including Spanish, French, Portuguese, German, Arabic, Hebrew, Hindi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Mandarin Chinese, Cantonese Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Turkish, Ukrainian, Russian, and more
  • Assistant language does not silently translate private messages or public legal/help text unless the user explicitly asks
  • Weather includes current, hourly, tomorrow, seven-day, rain, umbrella, jacket, wind, and snow guidance
  • Help, Terms, and Privacy Policy pages can be opened and read aloud when requested
  • Sending, calling, attaching, and private-content reading require clear user intent or confirmation
  • Turning off the voice setting stops active voice sessions and hides Minyma Voice controls in the product
Translation

Translation when the user asks for it

Minyma can help translate current drafts and explicitly approved message content, with the translated text staged before it replaces or appends to a draft.

  • Draft translation is user-triggered and can be reviewed before use
  • Latest-message translation is gated by explicit consent before private content is read
  • Translation changes are staged before replacing or appending to a draft
  • Voice language selection does not automatically translate message contents
  • Sender-name reading can stay separate from reading message content
Safety

Account protection that stays close at hand

Safety stays visible with QR verification, trust review, app-lock PIN, duress mode, reset tools, account deletion, and capture-safety signals.

  • Linked-device management is part of the current account model
  • Duress mode wipes the device immediately and, when enabled, sends the account-deletion request at the same moment - the wipe never waits on the network
  • Minyma can detect screenshots after iOS reports them to support local awareness and audit breadcrumbs
  • Active screen recording or mirroring can veil sensitive content while capture is happening
Calling

Voice and video calling built in

Minyma brings voice and video calling directly into the same messaging experience on iPhone and iPad. Private call signaling stays inside Minyma's encrypted delivery model, and group threads can start, join, and manage live calls in the same product flow.
